Hereīs the thing about Dreamweapon...the tea-drinking-movie-starting ambience is what makes it. The sonic fundamental basis of SP3 is halucenigenics. If you have every taken a step outside your head, and listened to anything, youīll know that you hear more than you thought you did. Thatīs whatīs captured on Dreamweapon, extraudioambience. The purest essence of Spaceman 3,

Although in theory a priceless recording of the Spacemen performing one long flowing number live, this is spoilt by having been recorded in the foyer of the Riverside Studios. the music is therfore contaminated with sounds of people drinking tea and chatting, and also with frequent calls to go oto the cinema before the film starts. I listened to it once, then flogged it. This CD has a couple of extra tracks which are little more than studio ramblings and simply should never have been issued - Sympathy for the Record Industry? - not when they try and rip people off like this...

fuckin fantastic album big city dynamite tune

this is the album that saw Sonic Boom and jason Spaceman taking one side each, as they were no longer talking to each other - Sonicīs is the more variable of the two sides, thoī there are 2-3 good numbers - Jasonīs has the two best tracks tho', namely 'Billy Whizz/Blue1ī and the one before it (canīt remember what itīs called). Still, an album definitely worth getting, bearing in mind they're the best band ever. CD has extra trakcs/versions which makes it a really good deal.

Alongside 'Perfect Prescription', this is the best that the Spacemen achieved. Totally sublime ambient numbers sit alongside their uptempo 'hitī 'Revolutionī and the brilliant 13 minute instrumental īsuicide'. Itīs such a good album i have to stop myself trying to persuade people (including myself, even though i have a copy) to buy it when in music stores.
