Thirty years later all is different, so is Brainticket. But its a clear Reflection of the times between. Their electronic soundscapes have clear danceable parts that remind on Techno (is it gone? Real? Yeah!). But similiar to the "Tokyo Space Cowboys" it never gets boring or shake you out. On the other hand there are also rocking grooving sounds that takes you by the hand to further spaces beyond. A fine comeback in the veins of Space. alie

(45) Buy record at Swamp Room Records ändern

One of the most feared Trip records. Full of eerie sounds dark rumbles and Teenage Angst lyric. Sounds interesting? Indeed give it a try to proove you as a hero. alie

i first heard cottonwood hill back in the early 70's. it completely blew me away. As i recall, the original jacket boasted that it was a 'musical interpretation of an LSD trip'. it lived up to its name. try 'psychonaut' as well for a trippy experience traveller

Reissue of early 70s psychedelic freak-out albums, first issued in Switzerland in 1971. This is generally considered one of the peak Krautrock experiences, despite its Swiss origins. At this point in time, Brainticket were made up of: Joel Vandroogenbroeck (organ, flute), Ron Bryer (guitar), Werni Frohlich (bass), Coismo Lampis (drums), Wolfgang Paap (tabla), Dawn Muir (voice) & Hellmuth Kolbe (potentiometers, generators and soundeffects). This is their first album (sometimes referred to as self-titled) and is quite different and more radical than anything else in their discography. It features an outlandish churning groove of a sound (vaguely comparable to Can or Funkadelic at their most tweaked), is deeply immersed in LSD mythology and is littered with electronic effects and collage-like elements. Comes with a bonus CD of the album. Buy record at ( LP+CD currently not in stock ) Greatest Hits Mailorder (D) ändern
